Due to unpaid debt, a debtor shot dead a barangay kagawad
KAGAWAD VS DEBTOR – A barangay kagawad in Indang, Cavite province was shot dead by his debtor on Tuesday morning, October 18 due to unpaid debt.

Due to an argument following an unpaid debt, a barangay kagawad in Cavite was shot dead by his debtor.
Willy Costa, an incumbent kagawad in Barangay Buna Lejos 2, and a certain Cerilo Berber had a heated argument around 7:45 a.m in Barangay Buna Lejos 1 for an unpaid cash debt as per the Cavite police.
According to witnesses, Berber shot the victim multiple times with a handgun.
Following the shooting, the suspect fled. The victim died on the way to the hospital.
The amount owed by the suspect to the victim was not specified in the report.
Police are conducting a manhunt to apprehend Berber.
