Pythons are among the largest snakes on the planet. Pythons, unlike many other snake species, do not produce venom and are therefore non-venomous.

Pythons are found in the tropics of Africa and Asia. They live in rainforests, savannas, and deserts. Many people keep them as pets.

The Reticulated Python, which can grow to be 30 feet long, is one of the longest known python species.

The majority of snakes weigh between 260 and 300 pounds. Pythons can live for up to 40 years in captivity.

Pythons will not attack humans unless provoked or stressed.

Pythons ambush their prey. They are usually well camouflaged and hidden in the trees.

Snakes are constrictors. Their prey is killed by squeezing them until they stop breathing. They will swallow an animal whole after killing it.

Pythons have heat-sensing organs that assist them in locating prey. Pythons have cold blood, but they can raise their body temperature by sunbathing.

Meanwhile, a python was rescued from a house in Barangay 5, Sipalay City in Negros Occidental by personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

The python was found hiding in the ceiling portion of the house.

It took five men to hold the massive snake.

This is not the first time that such a discovery happened.

A python that is 15 feet long and weighs nearly 35 kilos was found by construction workers in the ceiling of a house they are repairing in Batangas City last February 28, 2022.
