Apology of News5 on fake news about Vice Ganda and Marian Rivera
NEWS5 – The news outlet of Kapatid Network or TV5 issued an apology following its report about the alleged “iringan” between Vice Ganda and Marian Rivera.
Jose Marie Borja Viceral also known as Vice Ganda, is a comedian, talk show host, television presenter, actor, entrepreneur, and singer.
He is a regular host on ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show It’s Showtime and has starred in several films, eight of which are considered to be the highest-grossing in Philippine cinema.
Vice Ganda started out as a singer, then as a comedian for Punchline and The Library, whose owner Andrew de Real gave him the stage name “Vice Ganda”.
On the other hand, Marian Rivera started her career as a commercial model. She later ventured into acting.
She first appeared in the drama series, Kung Mamahalin Mo Lang Ako, Agawin Mo Man ang Lahat, and Pinakamamahal.
She later made a debut on the big screen via the 2005 movie Enteng Kabisote 2: Okay Ka Fairy Ko: The Legend Continues wherein she played the role of fairy Alyssa.
She rose to stardom when she reprised the lead role in GMA Network’s adaptation of the popular Mexican series MariMar alongside Dingdong Dantes.
The show became the highest-rated prime-time drama show on Philippine television at that time.
In 2014, she and Dingdong got married at the Cubao Cathedral with the reception taking place at Mall of Asia Arena which was televised on GMA Network. The couple has two (2) kids; Zia and Ziggy.
Recently, the comedian went to the microblogging site, Twitter wherein he slammed a report courtesy of News5 about his alleged rift with Marian Rivera.
In a now-deleted report, it is said that Marian and Vice Ganda have settled their rift after catching up at a party.
Allegedly, their rift started after the comedian criticized the grammar of the Kapuso actress.
But according to the comedian, the report is not true.
Meanwhile, News5 has issued an apology regarding the matter.
