Carl John Barrameda: “Thank you Lord! Tatay na ako!”
CARL JOHN BARRAMEDA — The Goin’ Bulilit alumnus and former child star took to social media to announce that he and his wife are expecting their first child.
Carl is one of the first batch of child stars who appeared in the now-defunct Kapamilya kiddie show “Goin’ Bulilit“.
To recall, Carl and his non-showbiz wife Nikolai Cimatu got engaged in Hong Kong in early 2019 and got married in a ceremony held at the Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in March 2020.
Some of his Goin’ Bulilit castmates attended their wedding at that time — including John Manalo, Trina “Hopia” Legaspi, Alfred Labatos, Miles Ocampo, and Igi Boy Flores.

Carl recently shared photos of sonogram of their baby on his Instagram account, which he currently set to private.
In a screen-captured photo obtained by ABS-CBN News, Carl was seen holding a sonogram of their baby and captioned his post, “Thank you Lord! Tatay na ako!”
Among those who congratulated him in the comments section were Alexa Ilacad, Jairus Aquino, Eliza Pineda, John Manalo, Emma Tiglao, and Erika Rabara.
Meanwhile, PEP reported that Carl posted the announcement through his social media accounts last September 21. Carl told PEP that his wife will turn 8 weeks pregnant on Sunday.
Based on a report, the former child star said that he and his wife actually planned to have a baby this year, after they get married in 2020.
“Mas gusto ko boy; ang wife ko, girl ang gusto. Pero kahit anong gender, basta healthy,” Carl John Barrameda told PEP when asked about the gender of their baby.
