Woman Aboard Motorcycle Shot in Capiz
WOMAN – A female victim was shot by her own nephew while she was riding her motorcycle in Capiz on her way home.
Daily, there are several unfortunate circumstances that take place in different cities and municipalities across the nation. Some of these are accidents or situations which are unforeseen and took place without the full intention of any of the parties involved.
However, in other cases, there seems to be a motive or an underlying reason that urged a person or a group to inflict harm on another person. Some of these cases are still unsolved.
Both situations leave families of the victims in grief and crying for justice. Recently, in Capiz, a family was left in deep sadness by the sudden passing of a woman who was shot while she was riding her own motorcycle. However, the suspect is reportedly a family member of the victim as well.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the victim was identified as Cherry Deocampo, 45 years old. According to Maayon Philippine National Police (PNP), the victim was riding her motorcycle on her way home when the suspect attacked her in Barangay Tuburan.
According to the report, the victim was not hit by her nephew on the first shot but he did it again which hit the woman in the back of her body. The residents abruptly helped the victim and took her on another motorcycle so she could be rushed to the nearest hospital.
However, the victim died while she was being treated in the hospital. The suspect, her nephew, managed to get away from the area. Maayon PNP continues to investigate the crime. More updates may be posted soon.
