Here’s an update about the condition of Pen Medina after his spinal surgery
VICTOR MEDINA – The son of veteran actor Pen Medina gave an update about his father’s condition after spinal surgery.
Pen Medina is a veteran actor who started acting in theater plays.
He eventually did versatile roles on both the big screen and on various television shows.
He became well-known after getting the role of the villainous Hagorn in the 2005 television fantasy series Encantadia.
Pen Medina is the father of Karl Medina, Crispin “Ping” Medina II, Alex Vincent Medina, Japs Medina, Victor Medina, Zeth Medina and JL Medina.
Most of his kids are into acting as well.
It was on July 17 when his children took to social media wherein they called for financial help for the operation of their father after he was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease.
Degenerative disc disease is an age-related condition that happens when one or more of the discs between the vertebrae of the spinal column deteriorates or breaks down, leading to pain. There may be weakness, numbness, and pain that radiates down the leg.
On July 23, the Medina family released a statement saying Pen had undergone surgery and it was successful.
But according to his son Victor, Pen Medina is now on his way to recovery since he has been in the hospital for two months already.
However, “it will take probably a year or more bago siya up on his peak talaga.”
In an interview with PEP.ph and other members of the press, he thanked those who extended their financial support to his father.
