Funeral procession in Bacolod featuring Masculados’ Jumbo Hotdog
JUMBO HOTDOG – The hit single of Masculados was played during a funeral procession in the City of Smiles, Bacolod.
Songs played during funeral processions are usually solemn and slow.
This is, at the same time, showing sympathy to the family and relatives of the deceased.
But some residents in Bacolod City particularly in Barangay Granada were surprised with definitely not a typical funeral procession.
Instead of playing a slow tune, the relatives of the deceased danced to the beat of Jumbo Hotdog by Masculados.
The scene was captured thru a video by a certain Xerxes de la Banda.
According to him, the funeral procession that played the said song took place last July 2, 2022.
The video shows the relatives of the deceased dancing to the upbeat song while following the funeral car on the way to the final resting place.
As of posting, the video has already earned thousands of views, likes, and shares.
Apparently, some did not find it amusing though others were entertained.

Irene Lasquite, a relative of the deceased explained why they did it that way.
“Kase po bago siya mawala sa mundo na ito, gusto niya po kase na happy lahat ng pamilya niya. Ayaw niya ng sad song. Kaya request niya yung Tiktok song bago siya ilagay sa kalalagyan niya,” she said in an interview with CDN Digital.
