Andi and her family recently went on a trip to Bali, Indonesia as she spent her 32nd birthday there with her daughter Ellie and with her fiance Philmar Alipayo and their children Koa and Lilo as well.

The actress was amazed by the healthy food options she and her family had in Bali. According to her, the healthy food options in Bali “really helped kickstart or journey back to our old wholesome ways”.

Andi also noted that the ingredients used in Indonesian cuisine are similar to the ingredients used in Philippine cuisine.

Inspired by this fact, as well as how much Andi and her family enjoyed Indonesian cuisine, she learned to cook a few Indonesian dishes which they loved so she can recreate them when they get back home.

Some of the Indonesian dishes she learned to cook are the following: ayam goreng (Indonesian fried chicken), nasi goreng (fried rice), and sauces such as sambal matah and red sambal.

While we were in Bali, I made sure to take the time to finally learn how to cook some of the fam’s local Indonesian faves. We made some Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Ayam Goreng (turmeric, lime – marinated chicken) and my favorite spicy sauces: the red sambal and sambal matah!” Andi shared on Instagram with some photos of the food she cooked.
