Tricycle Passenger Falls from Vehicle during Ride

TRICYCLE PASSENGER – A 56-year-old woman died after she fell from the tricycle she was riding into in San Rafael, Iloilo.

The road is undeniably one of the riskiest areas daily. There may be vehicles that are running at very high speed and as well as several factors that may affect a driver’s driving. Thus, drivers are always reminded to drive safely and at an ideal speed only.

However, aside from drowsiness, collision, and over-speeding, there are really a lot of incidents that can possibly happen on the road daily. Most of these incidents may be unexpected.

Recently, in Iloilo, another unfortunate incident took place that caused the falling of a tricycle passenger from the vehicle.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, a 56-year-old woman identified as Lorna Lenarisas fell from the tricycle after the vehicle tried to get away from a ball that was on the road.

Based on the investigation of the San Rafael Philippine National Police (PNP), the vehicle tilted to one side after it tried to escape the ball on the road causing the woman who was aboard next to the driver to fall.

The 56-year-old tricycle passenger hit her head on a cemented area. Based on the report, she was rushed by the members of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) San Rafael and MDRRMO San Rafael to a hospital but she died while she was being treated.

The woman is from Barangay Daan Banwa. Reportedly, the tricycle driver is now under the custody of the police and they await the decision of the passenger’s family if they will be filing a case against him. More updates may be posted soon.
