The boy, named RJ, caught the attention of Korean netizens with his story being featured in the series of vlogs posted on YouTube by Madam Kim, a Korean restaurateur in Bacolod.

In the very first video she posted about RJ, Madam Kim can be seen ordering at a famous fast-food chain drive-through in the said city.

While ordering, a boy selling peanuts appeared. It can be noticed that the child looks like a Korean, probably because of his eyes.

The vlogger asked the child some details about him and told her that he’s “half-Korean.” He mentioned that he’s with his mom while his father is in Korea.

This prompted Madam Kim to make a series of videos about him.

Although the vlogger uses the Korean language in speaking, she speaks in English while talking to RJ and his Filipina mom.

RJ shared that he’s selling peanuts to help his sick mom.

He sells peanuts in front of fast-food restos in Bacolod at 10 pesos per sachet and he’s earning only 100 pesos a day.

The vlogger went to the house of RJ where she met his mother.

According to RJ, they used to stay in Dasmariñas, Cavite. He even got to study at a Korean school in Sampaloc, Maynila.

It was in 2018 when they transferred to Bacolod.

The mother of RJ shared that she met her father at a bar in Dasmariñas.

His mother was only 22 years old at the time while his father was already 37.

RJ’s father became his mom’s guest and their relationship lasted for a week.

His father got angry when his mother told him that she was pregnant.

RJ’s mother only knew the Korean national by his name “James.”

Ever since RJ was born, he’s yet to see his father in person.

When the vlogger asked the Pinoy-Korean boy what he feels about his father, he said: “I hate him.”

In another video, the vlogger bought some goods for the boy and his mom.

The vlogger said that she plans to continue uploading videos of RJ until such time there’s someone who will be generous enough to help him.
