Lorenzo Legarda Leviste criticized mom Loren Legarda for supporting BBM
LOREN LEGARDA – The senatorial candidate was disowned by her own son Lorenzo Legarda Leviste following her support to presidential frontrunner Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Legarda, a congresswoman from Antique, is running for senator under the slate of the BBM-Sara UniTeam.
The BBM-Sara tandem will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
Before she became a senator, she was once a journalist and news anchor for ABS-CBN.
Apparently, her son Lorenzo disowned her for supporting Marcos Jr.
In an open letter, he sent to Rappler.com, he expressed his disappointment towards his mom.
According to him, he could not bear that his mom is supporting the candidacy of BBM and Sara Duterte whom he called “fascist.”
“She is endorsing fascists. For weeks I have been crying every day, screaming every day until I spat out blood. The decision she’s made is so profoundly unthinkable, unconscionable, unforgivable,” he said.
He said his mother’s political alliance was a big shame.
Lorenzo is now based abroad and has been there for over five years already.
The son of Loren Legarda said he doesn’t have any idea who will run in the coming elections until he learned about the reaction of Ariana Grande when her song was used in the grand campaign rally of Lei Robredo in Pasig City.
Loren has yet to issue any statement regarding the remarks of her son.
