The Facebook page “Tambayang Palaweño TV” has shared the video footage of several residents destroying the ballot boxes and vote-counting machines in Lanao del Sur during election day. The video earned various reactions from the netizens.
In the video, it can be seen that an intense commotion occur among some residents who were using force to take and destroy the ballot boxes and vote-counting machines from the authorities.
The gruesome incident reportedly happened at Barangay Magonaya in Binidayan, Lanao del Sur on Monday (May 10, 2022) during the 2022 national and local elections. The intense commotion causes fear and panic among the residents. The Commission on Election verified the reports.
In another video, several police officers and members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines have responded to a shootout incident in the area. A shootout also occurred in various provinces in the country during the election day.

Ballot boxes and vote-counting machines (VCMs) were reportedly destroyed in Barangay Magonaya in Binidayan, Lanao del Sur on election day.
Barilan, smiklab sa bayan nang Buluan, Maguindanao ngaung araw nang election; mga supporters nang magkalabang kandidato ang hinihinalang sangkoy sa bakbakan.”

It is not a surprise…In Caloocan also, a voter saw his BALLOT was not placed in the box, because the Machine according to the in-charge is no in function…So even if we wil have MANUAL RECOUNT, what will you count if they did not put inside the ballots..?
