Sue recently looked back on her career in show business. According to her, she saw the “Star Magic” commercial with an audition at the Audience Entrance.

For her, her only motivation at that time was to help her family financially considering her father was sick and her mother was the only one working for her and her 4 other siblings.

“Nung araw na yun, wala akong naramdaman na pagod. Hindi ko naisip na mainit or na gutom ako. Pwedeng umalis na lang ako or pwedeng napagod ako or pwedeng natakot ako. Pero parang sinamahan siguro ako ni Lord,” she said as she described how her audition went.

Sue also confessed that she never got impatient in landing the lead roles. In fact, she said that she didn’t dream of being the “bida”.

While admitting that she thought of quitting show business after her father died, the actress said that she’s fortunate enough to have been given a lot of acting projects.

Sabi ko sa sarili ko, kapag hindi na ako binigyan ng ABS ng project, baka mag-aral na lang ako ulit. Hindi ako nawalan ng project. Dirediretso po talaga,” Sue said. “Sobrang grateful talaga ako. Hindi ko iniisip nung mga panahon na yun na support ako. Ine-enjoy ko rin yung ginagawa ko.

Meanwhile, Sue is hoping that her boyfriend Javi Benitez is already the one she will spend the rest of her life with.

The actress shared that she always looks for nice qualities in a man that she also saw in her father growing up. And somehow, she said that her boyfriend is just like her father.

Sue was also asked if she would give up her showbiz career if her boyfriend wins the mayoralty race in Victorias City, Negros Occidental. She is quite confident that Javi wouldn’t ask her to do that.

The good thing about Javi, he doesn’t bring that up. He understands the work that I do and he knows how much I love my job. He’s not going to let me give it up,” Sue said.
