Here’s the reaction of Koko Pimentel after PDP-Laban Cusi wing vowed to support the candidacy of Bongbong Marcos or BBM
KOKO PIMENTEL – The PDP-Laban Pacquiao Wing President was not in favor of the Cusi Wing’s decision to endorse presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
BBM is gearing up for the highest position in the government this coming May 9, 2022 election.
Together with his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, they will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
Earlier, the PDP Laban Cusi-wing endorsed BBM’s presidency.
Apparently, there were some who are not in favor of the party’s decision and one of which is Sen. Aquilino ‘Koko’ Pimentel III
Pimentel, the son of PDP-Laban founder former Senate President Nene Pimentel, said that the party was formed to oppose the “dictatorship” of Bongbong’s father, former President Ferdinand Marcos.
According to Pimentel, Energy Sec. Alfonso Cusi and his allies prove that they do not know what the PDP-Laban really is.
He also urged the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to take action on the current rivalry between PDP-Laban.
Recently, Marcos was officially endorsed by the PDP-Laban Cusi wing because he is said to have received the most votes in the local councils of the said party.
They also believe that Marcos has the same platform as President Duterte.
