Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia said that the best way to handle criticisms is not to handle them at all.
Joshua was able to pave his way to stardom because of his remarkable acting skills and not only because he is good-looking. The audience obviously appreciates his charisma on screen while doing different roles.
Despite the love and support from his fans, it is also a known fact that Joshua also receives criticism. Based on the article in Inquirer, the actor shared that he is not focusing on the negative reactions being thrown at him.
“The best way to handle negative issues is to not handle them at all. I’ve had so many experiences related to that,” he said. Joshua Garcia added that over the year, he was able to realize that it is much better to just ignore the criticisms because handling them is a waste of energy.
However, the actor said that he is trying to learn from that experience of being criticized. “For me, the negative issues that went viral are as important as the positive ones. I will treasure them because they’re part of my journey as an actor,” he said.
For Joshua, it is important to choose his battles and not focus on things that will not be beneficial for him. On the other hand, he said that this reaction really depends on the situation.
When asked about handling blind items that seem to refer to him, he said that this is part of the lives of celebrities. “There’s really nothing we can do to stop that, but how we react to blind items is what really matters. I’ve experienced that before,” he said.
Joshua Garcia shared that a person he knows told him about a blind item but he just said, “hayaan mo na” because if he reacts, it will just make more people curious about the story.
