“Magbabarkada” Answers Calling and Become Priests & Nun
FRIENDSHIP GOALS – A “Magbabarkada” or group in Nueva Ecija goes viral online after they have become priests and nun.
The group in Nueva Ecija consisting Dean Jerome Cruz, Edelberto dela Rosa Jr., Jestoni Macapas, Franz Joseph Aquino at Mark Kevin Salac answered their calling and become priests in various Churches.
The only girl in the group named Mary Joannie Bolisay has also answered her calling and become a nun. The group meet each other at the seminary and became good friends since then until the present time.
The group photos showing the members becoming Church personnel immediately spread like a wildfire online. The group expressed their gratefulness meeting each other who treat each other as family.
“Noong nasa loob na kami ng seminaryo ay doon nabuo yung pagkakaibigan namin,” Fr. Aquino said.
“Noong nagkakilala na kami, unti-unting nabuo yung tinatawag na brotherhood, magkakapatid ang turingan,” Fr. Macapas said.
The age gap between them did not become a hindrance to strengthen their friendship. They usually spend time praying and studying together. They treasure every memories they have.
Fr. Salac said that his friends becomes his crying shoulder in times of hardships and difficulties. The group is trying to remain intact although they have their own responsibility in their respective Churches.
“Sabi nila parang malungkot ang pagpa-pari kasi parang you are alone. Pero sabi ko nga this is a journey and we journey together. Walang iwanan, walang kaniya-kaniya,” according to Fr. Salac.
Fr. Aquino told the public that friendship and brotherhoods were not just for happy-happy but it must lead us to become a better person.
