FUMIYA SANKAI — The former “Pinoy Big Brother: Otso” housemate recently took to social media to share that he’s planning to open a Pinoy coffee shop in Japan.
After going back to Japan in 2020, Fumiya had been busy pursuing his other goals in life after joining “PBB: Otso” as the first pure Japanese official housemate known as the “Konnichi-Wonder Vlogger ng Japan”.
He also revealed plans to start his own clothing line in Japan apart from starring in a Japanese short film in 2021.
At the start of the year, he reiterated his goal to bridge the gap between the two countries he loved the most — Japan and the Philippines.
In another social media post earlier this month, He revealed plans to open a Pinoy-themed cafe and also shared photos of himself learning how to make Filipino favorites such as adobo and pandesal.

Although he admitted that it will not be an easy dream to achieve, he promised his followers that he will strive to achieve his dreams.
“Recently, I had a dream to create a Philippine concept coffee shop in Japan. However, this dream is not so easy to achieve,” Fumiya said. “But I will continue to pursue my dream so that I can be a bridge between the Philippines and Japan.”
Fumiya auditioned for the 8th season of “PBB” while studying English at the Lyceum of the Philippines in 2019. He, who also ventured into vlogging, posted vlogs on his YouTube channel called “FumiShun Base” which currently has 2.32M subscribers.
