Here’s the open letter of a seaman to Leni Robredo

LENI ROBREDO – A seaman took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he posted an open letter addressed to the vice president.

It was just recently when the presidential candidate had her turn in the 2022 presidential one-on-one interview with Boy Abunda.

Robredo answered all the questions raised by the Kapamilya host.

At one point, she was asked what’s her plan among Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in case she wins the presidency.

According to her, if she wins the said post, she will give an opportunity to those who intend to become OFWs to get a better position or job abroad.

“Yung mga umaalis at nag-aabroad, dapat binibigyan natin sila ng pagkakataon na mas maganda yung trabaho na makukuha nila,” she said.

Apparently, her statement did not give a good impression to a seafarer or seaman named Lacruiser P. Relativo.

After Robredo’s interview, he went to social media wherein he posted an open letter addressed to the presidential aspirant in response to her statement about OFWs.

According to Relativo, it is okay for OFWs to start from the lowest position. He cited for example the hardships he went through before he reached his current position.

In his lengthy post, he plead to the vice president, “Sana lang huwag ninyo kaming gamiting ‘materyal’ para sa kagustuhan ninyong manalo at magamit ang pondong nakalaan para sa amin.”

As of posting, his post has already generated more than 49k reactions and over 21k shares.

Robredo has not yet responded to Relativo’s open letter to her.
