PHILMAR ALIPAYO — The Siargao-based surfer spent Christmas away from Andi Eigenmann and their children this year.
It looked like Philmar wasn’t able to celebrate Christmas with Andi and their children this year after typhoon “Odette” brought destruction to their island home.
Philmar posted on Christmas Day a photo of Andi, Lilo, Ellie, and Koa with a caption telling them how much he missed them and that he will be seeing them soon.
“Best gift sako kinabuhe,” Philmar said. “Miss you and love you all so much! Will see you soon.”
Andi then replied to Philmar’s post with a comment saying: “We miss you so much.”

Meanwhile, Andi posted on her Instagram account a photo with her kids and their grandmother, Jaclyn Jose, and said that she found the silver lining to the not-so-ideal Christmas setup.
“Silver lining: nakapiling namin si Nanay ngayong pasko!” Andi wrote.
Over a week ago, Typhoon “Odette” cut a deadly swathe across Mindanao and the Visayas.
Andi and Philmar said in a series of Instagram updates that their home and resort had been damaged by the typhoon and that Philmar had gone back to Siargao in order to help volunteers and to check with his family.
Philmar and Andi also called on their followers to spread the word and to send donations to affected residents.
