FORMS OF COMMUNICATION – There are a lot of ways to communicate with one another, but, what is the most effective form?
When we communicate, the first thing that comes to mind is the need for language. With language, people are given a medium to express themselves.
As such, it is easier for us to understand one another through words. However, is it really the most effective way to communicate?
Among the choice we’d have for this question are as follows?:
- Yes, because through words we are allowed to explain ourselves.
- Yes, because there are always words to express what we want to say,
- No, because words can be abused by people and can cause hurt or
- confusion
- No, because words can inhibit people from saying/declaring the truth.
The answer to this question varies a lot. However, when it comes to the most effective way to communicate, words are only part of the process.
Before words were invented, humans used body language to understand each other. And, up until now, our brains are still wired to supersede verbal communication once we see body language.
Still, not everybody is tuned in to focus on another’s body language. So, for now, given the choice, the answer should be, “Yes, because there are always words to express what we want to say“.
Obviously, words were created to give us an instrument to communicate. Whether or not we use body language, words are still the first thing that we need to express ourselves, ask questions, and deliberate.
