Senator Bong Go called on government agencies to ensure the proper use of the national budget for 2022.
BONG GO — On Friday, the incumbent senator called on government agencies to ensure the proper use of the national budget for 2022.
Senator Christopher Lawrence Go called on national government agencies to utilize their funds properly and wisely so as to help spur the country’s efforts against the pandemic and economic recovery.
According to Go, President Rodrigo Duterte’s signing of the PHP 5-trillion General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2022 was “timely” as the government continued to deal with the pandemic and the recent onslaught of typhoon “Odette” on Filipinos and economy.
Go said in a statement.

Last December 30, President Duterte signed the national budget for 2022 under his administration, a measure seen to be critical in implementing the government’s response against the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuring the country’s economic recovery.
President Duterte said that the passage of the General Appropriations Act of 2022 “reflects the healthy collaboration among all branches of government”.
According to the senator, he’s confident that the national budget for 2022 was carefully considered in order to meet the demands of the Filipino people, particularly in these difficult times.
