Ely Buendia gave a limited edition Eraserheads vinyl record to Vice President Leni Robredo.
ELY BUENDIA — The former Eraserheads frontman recently visited Vice President Leni Robredo and gave her a limited edition Eraserheads vinyl record.
In a Facebook post, Robredo said that Buendia gave her a limited edition Eraserheads 25th Anniversary on vinyl.
“Thank you, Ely (praying emoticons) Nakita mo kung gaano kadami fans mo sa office namin,” Robredo said.
It was last November 2019 when Eraserheads marked its 25th anniversary by releasing their limited vinyl edition of the remastered “Ultraelectromagneticpop!” album.
At that time, Ely Buendia said that the said album, released under BMG Records in 1993, was also the album that proved that anyone can make music.
The vinyl edition of the said album was remastered by Grammy Award-winning audio engineer Bernie Grundman.

Last September, Buendia, perhaps in jest, told his followers that there will be an Eraserheads reunion “kapag tumakbo si Leni.”
But when the Vice President finally announced her candidacy last October 7, Buendia neither confirmed nor denied the possibility of an Eraserheads reunion. He said in a tweet that he may joke about frivolous things but he’s dead serious about the people’s future.
Eraserheads, disbanded in 2002 after 13 years together, made a name for themselves in the 90s with songs such as “Spolarium”, “Pare Ko”, “With A Smile”, “Ang Huling El Bimbo”, “Alapaap”, and “Magasin”.
