Samsung said that the said package was a box that was specially designed to be upcycled for customers’ contribution to the environment.

According to Samsung, the said initiative made use of a dot matrix design, making it easy to cut and assemble the cardboard box into household items.

The company also noted that the said package will come with every 2021 TV model, engaging in creativity while limiting environmental waste. You can visit this link for more ideas on how to reuse Samsung’s cardboard boxes.

Prior to this, Samsung announced last April that the company was set to introduce a new “eco-friendly packaging” across its Lifestyle TV product portfolio in an effort to reduce the environmental footprint.

The said packaging will be applied to The Frame, The Serif, and The Sero.

At that time, Samsung said that owners of The Serif who tend to put furniture and shelves around the TV can build magazine racks, cat houses, and even shelves from the cardboard boxes to store electronic devices and household items.

Samsung’s Executive Vice President and Head of Product Strategy Team of Visual Display Business Kangwook Chun said that consumers were more likely to buy from a brand that shared similar fundamentals and values as they did.

With our eco-packaging, we believe that we can provide our customers with a new experience that considers the environment as an important way to express themselves,” said Kangwook Chun.
