LJ Reyes Breaks Silence on Breakup with Paolo Contis
LJ REYES – The actress confirmed her breakup with her long-time partner, Paolo Contis, and revealed asking him about the changes she noticed.
One of the celebrity families that was an image of a happy home was the family of Paolo Contis and LJ Reyes. Their closeness was an inspiration to a lot of people and many admire the relationship of the actor with the actress’ eldest son.
Aki, the son of LJ with her ex-boyfriend, actor Paulo Avelino, is visibly very close to Paolo. The celebrity couple is also blessed with a child of their own, a daughter they nicknamed “Summer”.

However, like what many people believe in, only the ones inside the borders of the relationship truly know what’s happening. Recently, reports about the rumored separation of LJ Reyes and Paolo Contis crossed the surface.
The speculations and rumors came after Paolo deleted all his photos with LJ and Aki on his social media account. The actor-comedian remained mum amid the rumors.
Recently, LJ Reyes broke her silence on the rumors and confirmed her separation with Paolo Contis. Together with her children, they are currently in the United States.
Speaking to King of Talk Boy Abunda, LJ said that a lot of “revelations” came to her in the past several months and it was only her faith that enabled her to fall asleep at night. Without going into details, the actress described what she went through as a very “painful” event.
According to LJ, she felt the need to take her and her children physically out from the situation thus she decided to fly to the U.S. and be with her family. The actress expressed that she lived with the “changed” Paolo for several months in the pursuit to find a solution to their family problem.
LJ Reyes admitted noticing the changes in Paolo Contis in the past several months. According to the actress, they’ve been together for six years and he is really a “home buddy”. However, in the past several months beginning the end of 2020, she felt so alone and she cannot feel his presence anymore at their home.
LJ claimed that Paolo was not always home and although he has excuses, she can feel when he tells a lie. The actress admitted confronting her then-partner about the changes she noticed in him.
However, according to LJ, Paolo would just say that he is still the same and would dismiss the conversation. The actress stressed that she broke her silence because the whole thing affects her children and, as a mother, she could not afford not to do anything.
Currently, they’re staying in the U.S. and the actress admitted that she is not ready to go home anytime soon even if it would be Paolo who would ask it. Amid everything, she is clinging to her faith in God and holds tight to the prayer of rebuilding her family – which is composed of her and her two (2) kids.
