Kris Bernal on her career after marriage: “I will not leave”
Actress Kris Bernal recently took to social media as she responded to netizens’ questions about her career after marriage.
In her #TheUnbotheredQueen segment on Instagram, Kris shared that she’s still waiting for updated guidelines set by the national government as she was set to tie the knot on September 25 this year.
On Tuesday, Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said that Metro Manila will be under Alert Level 4 for the pilot implementation of the “Alert Levels System for COVID-19 Response”, which will be imposed starting September 16, 2021.
Roque explained that there will be certain restrictions for establishments and activities that would fall under “3Cs” — closed spaces, crowded spaces, and activities that promote close contact.
Under the pilot implementation, however, certain indoor activities were allowed for the fully vaccinated individuals under Alert Level 4.
“Waiting, waiting, waiting.. for the new guidelines. No bridal shower, no celebrations for the bride’s upcoming marriage,” Kris said in her Instagram post.
The actress also shared that she’s beyond excited and had so much gratitude where this year brought her. When asked about her career after marriage, Kris said that she will not leave her career after getting married.
According to her, she needed, wanted, and should always work for the betterment of herself, her satisfaction, and her happiness.
Kris and her non-showbiz fiance Perry Choi got engaged last February 2020.
Meanwhile, she shared her appreciation message for her fiance as they reunited days before their wedding. The actress shared that she and Perry haven’t seen each other for a long time.
