Jimmy Bondoc on bashers: “They are easy to ignore”
JIMMY BONDOC – The singer/songwriter, who was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Philippine Amusement Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR), gave a message to his bashers.
It was on Thursday, September 16 when the gaming regulator announced that the 46-year-old hitmaker has been appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as one of the members of its board of directors.
The OPM singer “will serve the unexpired term of office of the late Director Reynaldo E. Concordia that began on July 1, 2021 and will end on June 30, 2022.”
Jimmy Bondoc whose real name is James Patrick Romero Bondoc is set to take his oath of office at the Malacanang Palace by the end of September.
But on September 15, he was sworn into office by an official of Barangay Pinagkaisahan in Quezon City to assume the duties left by the late Pagcor director.
According to Jimmy Bondoc, who was previously the vice president for the Social Responsibility Group of Pagcor, his new position will help him provide support to the initiatives and current programs of the government-owned and controlled corporation.
Right after announcing his appointment, Jimmy Bondoc took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he posted a message addressed to his bashers.
According to him, the best part of being bashed is being defended. He noted that bashers do not have an effect on him and they are “easy to ignore.”

Presently, Jimmy Bondoc is a fourth-year law student at the University of the East in Manila.
Before he was given a position in the government, he made a name for himself in the music industry as singer and songwriter of hit singles such as Let Me Be The One and Hanggang Dito na Lang.
