Ben&Ben shared an advice on how to stay creative.
Ben&Ben, who recently released their 13-track sophomore album, shared an advice on how to stay creative during these trying times.
During a press conference last Friday, Ben&Ben vocalist Miguel Benjamin Guico said that the secret wasn’t really trying to be creative all the time.
According to Miguel, with the amount of pressure that they have in order for them to remain creative, he guessed one thing they would like to say was that it’s not a sin to rest.
“Counterintuitive man siya pero kapag hinayaan natin sarili natin maramdaman muna ng pansamantala ’yung hirap, ’yung challenge, bago natin pilitin maka-get over it and then after, work our way slowly into getting back that groove, I think mas real way ’yun of dealing with the challenges,” Miguel said.

Miguel also said that instead of avoiding the challenges and forcing oneself in order to be creative, one should face the heaviness of it.
“Hindi kasalanan magpahinga at damdamin ’yung challenge sa buhay,” Miguel added.
Prior to the launch of their sophomore album, which discussed numerous heavy themes such as burnout, power, and the feeling of drowning, the band released one of its songs “Magpahinga” last May.
The band’s new album, which featured collaborations with other artists including Chito Miranda, SB19, KZ Tandingan, Juan Karlos, and Munimuni, can be streamed on digital music platforms.
Meanwhile, Miguel shared that they gave their sophomore album the title “Pebble House” because the street they lived in together consisted of pebbles.
But the deeper reason behind “Pebble House”, according to Miguel, was that they realized that they’re building something in every little thing they created.
