In her recent post on her blog site, Sitti opened up about the struggles she braved through during the first half of this year.

When she’s able to confirm her second pregnancy, she then immediately went to see her OB-GYN, Dra. Eileen Manalo. However, after conducting a trans-vaginal ultrasound, they discovered a 4-inch ovarian cyst (at that time).

This startled her as her ovaries were confirmed to be okay 10 months prior. Sitti then questioned how a cyst so big could have formed so fast.

After two weeks, Sitti braved through the anxiety she felt and went for another checkup. That was when her OB-GYN declared that “the cyst didn’t look like a normal, harmless one”. The checkup concluded with her doctor declaring that the cyst could be indicative of an “early stage cancer”.

Sitti also elaborated in her blog post about her second pregnancy journey and how it frightened her as the fear of cancer was still fresh in her mind, due to the fact that her mother died of bile duct cancer last year.

The singer remained faithful to the Lord despite the overwhelming challenge that came her way.

Everything’s fine now, I am fine now – both me and baby are. I can talk about it more openly now too, although I sometimes resort to a few tears when I recall what we went through. It wasn’t easy, but the hand of the Lord delivered us from the worse when I had open surgery more than two months ago and the 10 cm cyst was found to be benign. I was 13 weeks pregnant then. Needless to say, this wasn’t exactly how I thought my second pregnancy would go,” Sitti shared.

The Bossa Nova singer made a debut after releasing her first album “Café Bossa” back in 2006 and her success led her to become part of the ASAP Sessionistas.

Sitti was married to Joey Ramirez with whom she had one child with another one on the way.
