The coronation night for this year’s Miss World Philippines was postponed.
On Friday, the Miss World Philippines organization had officially announced that the coronation night for this year’s pageant was postponed to another date.
The Miss World Philippines organization issued their statement on their Facebook page saying that the coronation night for this year’s pageant was postponed in compliance with the reimposition of general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions.
According to the Miss World Philippines organization, the coronation night was rescheduled from July 25 (original date) to August 8 (new date).
“In compliance with the reimposition of the IATF’s heightened GCQ restrictions, the Miss World Philippines Organization is rescheduling the forthcoming Miss World Philippines coronation night originally scheduled this coming Sunday, July 25, at Okada Manila, to August 8, same venue,” said the Miss World Philippines organization.

The upcoming pageant will crown this year’s Miss World Philippines; the other titles up for grabs for this year’s pageant were the following:
- Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas
- Miss Eco International Philippines
- Miss Supranational Philippines
- Miss Tourism Philippines
- Miss Eco Teen Philippines
- Miss Multinational Philippines
- Miss Environment International Philippines
The announcement came after the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Friday placed the National Capital Region (NCR) and four other areas under GCQ with heightened restrictions.
