Josh Santana recently took to social media as he shared that he and Carol Banawa reunited after 18 years.
Remember the Josh-Carol tandem in the ABS-CBN primetime series “Bituin”?
The former singers were being seen together again through a virtual duet of the song “Kailangan Kita” 18 years after the series ended in 2003. Josh then posted on Instagram his photo with Carol from their video call.
In his Instagram post, Josh called Carol “a gift” to him and said that he looked forward to singing with her live again.
“Thank you @iamcarolbanawa . You are a gift to me. Your kindness shines as bright as your singing voice. Looking forward to singing live again with you. I am very happy we both ended up in the medical field. Who would have thought? Life is full of surprises! Let this one be a surprise for all our fans. Enjoy!” Josh said to Carol.

In a separate post, Josh posted on Instagram a video wherein he and Carol sang “Kailangan Kita”, which was the theme song of their love team and also a staple in their repertoire during musical numbers and concerts.
As seen in the caption, Josh said that it was a blessing for him to do a duet with a “legend” in the music industry.
Carol then told Josh in the comments section that she’s blessed to have known him as well.
“You are still the kind hearted person that I had the chance to sing with 18 years ago. Thank you for what you do. and yes, it is a blessing that our hearts have led us to our current profession now.. to more collabs! Basta lang may time tayo isingit sa trabaho naten. stay safe and God bless you!” Carol said to Josh.
Both Josh and Carol have long left the showbiz industry as they’re currently in the medical field. Carol was a nurse in the United States, while Josh was a doctor in the Philippines.
ABS-CBN primetime series “Bituin” aired in Kapamilya network from 2002 to 2003 and was dubbed the first musical teleserye on television.
