Over the weekend, Mayor Sara assured residents in Davao that local government services remained uninterrupted with the help of the Davao Vice Mayor. She then issued the statement after being criticized for her recent trips to other regions amidst the increasing cases of COVID-19 in Davao.

Davao City, according to OCTA Research Team, continued to report the highest average number of new coronavirus cases with 218 fresh coronavirus infections per day from July 14 to 20.

Also, Davao was tagged as a high-risk city because of increasing positivity rates, average daily attack rate, and utilization rate for intensive care units as well.
