After being nominated in the 2021 Billboard Music Awards (BBMA), ShowBT Philippines said that SB19 was “ready for world domination“.
To recall, SB19 was nominated in this year’s Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) for the “Top Social Artist” category along with BTS.
Eventually, BTS won the fan-voted award again, besting the homegrown band along with BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN, and Ariana Grande.
In an interview on CNN Philippines’ The Exchange, ShowBT Philippines chief executive officer Charles Kim told Rico Hizon that he’s very much sure that they’re aiming for a Billboard win next year in 2022.

When asked if the Filipino boy band can be the next BTS, Kim said, “I would like to say yes, for sure we’re ready for world domination together with the SB19 fans.”
Kim also shared what he looked for in their talents: passion and eagerness to become stars, all of which he saw in SB19. Likewise, he touted the “distinctive nature” of each member, which ensured that there’s “no redundancy” among the group.
Despite their success, Kim said that the training agency still kept the boys under training.
ShowBT Philippines trained SB19, which was composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin. The group debuted last 2018 under the organization and was currently known for their hit songs “Go Up”, “Alab”, “What?” and “Mapa”.
