Rachel Peters speaks about her pregnancy journey.
Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters recently opened up about her pregnancy journey as she and her fiancé Camarines Sur Governor Migz Villafuerte prepared to welcome their first child.
Rachel said in a vlog uploaded on her YouTube channel last Tuesday that she and her fiancé have decided to start a family after their marriage got postponed last year because of the pandemic.
“We had found the most perfect wedding venue and everything was working out until this pandemic hit. So even though our plans to get married had to be postponed for now, we decided to make some changes to our lifestyle with one goal in mind,” Rachel said as her fiancé finished her sentence by saying “starting a family”.

According to Rachel, it’s “not that easy” for her to get pregnant, saying that it took her months of blood tests, trips to the doctor, and different treatments in order to balance out her hormones to even be able to start trying for a baby.
Rachel also said that it’s all worth it, though, because they got the “best news ever” about a year later.
Also in her vlog, she gave her viewers a glimpse of some of her emotional moments and also talked about spending most of her first trimester by herself as her fiancé had to return to Camarines Sur in order for him to fulfill his duties as a public servant.
Looking back, she acknowledged that her pregnancy journey was “not all flowers and sunshine” so far, saying that “lots of tears were shed”. She also said that she’s “grateful that our baby was actually pretty good to me” as she marked her fifth month.
