Lucy and Richard have come to accept the fact that their unica hija was all grown up and was at that stage of exploring romantic relationships.

Recently, Juliana had been spotted hanging out with the national fencing athlete Miggy Bonnevie-Bautista and, before that, was romantically linked with former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Marco Gallo.

For this reason, Richard and Lucy had been giving Juliana pointers about getting into a relationship.

In an interview on PEP.ph, Lucy said in an e-mail interview coursed via SnailWhite that she had been reminding her daughter “to pray for a good spouse”.

Who you marry is the most important decision you make, the right partner can make you soar, the wrong one will clip your wings. This is not a decision you leave to chance, or fate. This has to be God-given, heaven-approved,” Lucy said.

On the other hand, Richard had said in a previous interview with PEP.ph that it was a fact of life that, one day, her daughter will “just decide to settle down and get married”.

Richard also gave advice to his daughter, saying that she really have to choose the person she wanted to marry and who’s going to make her happy.

You choose somebody na you’re ready to wake up to every morning. Hindi puwedeng love mo lang siya ngayon. When you get married, that’s the face you will see the first thing, always. So, are you ready? Do you really love that person? That’s a good gauge,” Richard said.

Currently, Juliana was taking up Public Administration at the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman, Quezon City.
