The organizers of Maginhawa Community Pantry created “mini pantries”.
The organizers of Maginhawa Community Pantry had created “mini pantries” within Quezon City as they’ll implement a decentralized system.
In a report on GMA News, the pantry organizer had announced that food donations will be delivered to different barangays within the City.
“Mula sa isang pantry sa Maginhawa (street) magiging pantries na ito,” the pantry organizers announced.
However, a long line was observed in the said area early Tuesday morning.

Accordng to the pantry organizers, they’ll implement a decentralized system with the original stall on No. 108 Maginhawa Street converted into a drop off area for donations that will be open from 10am to 6pm daily.
The donated items, according to the pantry organizers, will then be brought to the barangays within the district of Diliman from where most of the beneficiaries came from.

The objective of the said change was the implementation of a more organized and more efficient distribution of goods the different villages and other community pantries.
In addition, the distribution centers would also be set up in areas near the target beneficiaries, who didn’t have to walk too far from their residents. The setup would be beneficial to PWDs and pregnant women.
Moreover, the organizers said that health protocols can also be strictly implemented.
