Smart Communications made its 5G roaming service available in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in partnership with Etisalat Group and Du Telecom after making its service available in Taiwan and South Korea.

Etisalat Group and Du Telecom were two mobile telecommunication companies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The said move was a part of Smart’s effort in making its 5G roaming service available in the world’s top countries that offered the best 5G experience.

In order to use the said service, Smart subscribers visiting the United Arab Emirates just need a Smart 5G-capable SIM and a Smart 5G-certified device.

After that, Smart subscribers visiting the United Arab Emirates should subscribe to the special GigaRoam UAE Plan which included 3GB of data for PHP 999 for 15 days.

This was for Smart subscribers who were traveling in the United Arab Emirates who needed internet connectivity even if they didn’t use a local SIM and would also allow the user to use his or her number in order to receive calls and SMS while abroad.
