Actor Simon Ibarra had recently opened up about working with Diamond star Maricel Soriano in the ABS-CBN drama series “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin”.
In a report on PUSH, Simon played one of the most hated characters in the ABS-CBN drama series “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin”.
Simon said during the “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” finale presscon that it was a compliment for him to be effective in his role as the villain “Caesar Augusto” who made life hard for lead actresses Iza Calzado and Jodi Sta. Maria.
He also said that he didn’t mind when he heard feedback that audiences were angry at his role in the said series.
PUSH also reported that Simon wasn’t a newcomer to doing heavy roles as his acting career had already spanned over two decades with both television and movie work.
Simon also said that his current role was successful because of more than just his acting.

Simon added that he still felt nervous while working on the same set as Diamond star Maricel Soriano despite his being a veteran himself.
“Yes, hindi nawawala yung kaba kasi alam naman natin kung anong klaseng kaledad yung mga artista na yan. Sila’y lahat mahusay, mga awardees na. So pinaghahandaan yung character, pinaghahandaan yung dialogue. Pero yes lagi akong may kaba,” Simon said.
With the drama series ending its run in two weeks, the actor shared what audiences could expect from his unpredictable villain role.
According to him, he thought the audiences’ annoyance with him would increase because he’s really messing up the lives of the two lead characters.
