Prior to this, Huang Xilian on Monday said that his team had been working round the clock with their Philippine counterparts for the arrival of the second batch of China-donated Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine doses as this would be China’s second donation to the Philippines after airlifting the first batch of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine doses three weeks ago, which would bring the total amount of donation to one million Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine doses.

According to Xilian, “no one is safe until everyone is safe” as they needed to race against time in their efforts in order to speed up the mass vaccination process.
