President Duterte to Harry Roque: “Harry, bakit ka nagka-positive?”
President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday night asked Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque about his health condition.
Roque revealed during his press briefing that he had tested positive for COVID-19. According to him, he was asymptomatic and alone in his office.
However, he clarified that his COVID-19 illness won’t undermine his role as the Presidential Spokesperson.

Roque didn’t physically attend the meeting with President Duterte and instead participated through a video conference.
During a meeting with top government officials on COVID-19 pandemic response in Malacañang, President Duterte asked Roque about his health condition.
“Harry, bakit ka nagka-positive?” President Duterte asked Roque during his pre-recorded remarks aired on state television PTV.
Roque then admitted to President Duterte that he’s actually still trying to figure out how he got the coronavirus infection. He mentioned though he visited a number of hospitals in recent days for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
According to Roque, he didn’t know but he’s counting where he could possibly get the coronavirus infection, adding that he joined the vaccination rollout at the Philippine General Hospital, Southern Philippines Medical Center, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Governor Roque B. Ablan Sr. Memorial Hospital, and Laoag Medical.
“Ewan ko po pero binibilang ko po kung saan ko posibleng nakuha pero sumama po ako sa rollout ng vaccination sa PGH, sa Vicente Sotto, sa Southern Philippines, sa Laoag Medical at saka Roque Ablan” Roque told President Duterte.
Roque then assured the President that he would continue to perform his duties as a Presidential Spokesperson despite his coronavirus infection.
