Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto Completes 14-Day Quarantine
Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, despite his negative result for COVID-19, opted to complete the 14-day quarantine.
The Philippines is still on a tough battle against the spread of the COVID-19 disease. Declared pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), this coronavirus disease has taken a lot of lives.
One of those who died of COVID-19 is Mang Vener, the driver of Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto. He died last March 13 and it left the Pasig Mayor emotional for losing someone close to him.
Mayor Vico immediately go into self-isolation. He is a close contact of his driver as they were together a few days before Mang Vener died.

It was last March 15 when Mayor Vico announced that his driver passed away. Then, his PCR test was released and he tested negative for COVID-19. He decided to complete his 14-day quarantine despite the negative test result.
Last night, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto posted an update as he’s about to finish his 14-day quarantine. According to him, he tested negative in his PCR test four (4) days after his last exposure to Mang Vener thus those people he had a contact with since March 12 are safe.
Mayor Vico said that he still decided to complete the 14-day quarantine period in obedience to the guidelines of the Department of Health (DOH) for close contacts. He cited the possibility of the virus on its incubation period when the negative test result came out.
According to the Pasig City Mayor, he still worked even when he was under quarantine. His work was lighter as there are no face-to-face meetings. In his post on Facebook, he expressed his gratitude to everyone who prayed for him.
