Kakai Bautista: “I stopped patronizing Duterts and Robredo.”
KAKAI BAUTISTA – The Kapuso comedienne was forced to deactivate her Twitter account after garnering mixed reactions over her Duterte-Robredo tweet.
Recently, she went to the micro-blogging site wherein she expressed her opinion on the government’s response amid the country’s ongoing battle with the COVID-19 pandemic.
She wrote: “I stopped patronizing Duterts and Robredo. I tried focusing on the advantages of the pandemic. And the lessons it has brought us.”
“I realized that life become shorter and I want to live it more by being grateful. I pray. A lot,” she added.
Kakai Bautista was immediately lambasted by netizens on her “apolitical stand.”
There are those who said that the comedienne should not speak if it does not help the health crisis.
Through Facebook, Kakai clarified the context of her tweet and explained why her Twitter page has been deactivated.
She said: “Hindi ako Pro and Anti Duterts and Pro And Anti Leni. PRO- FILIPINO at PRO- PHILIPPINES ako. Hindi ako sa tao, SA governance ako masama ang loob, MAGKAIBA YUN GUSYH. MALIWANAG yun. Susmaryosep. Wag na tayong mag-away away. GUSTo Ko din ng pagbabago.”
She added: “Guysh? I deactivated my twitter account ah. Ang gulo-gulo na kase. I might have hurt some people sa mga tweets ko recently pero it doesn’t mean na di ako aware sa mga nangyayare sa atin. AND OO PAGOD NA DIN AKO SA GOBYERNO naten.”
