Hogwarts Yarn? Netizens Find DOTr Restroom Photoshoot Confusing
HOGWARTS YARN DOTR? – Netizens on Twitter poked fun at the Department of Transportation (DOTr) after releasing a photo of their restroom.
In the photo, you could see two restroom doors, one for the male and the other for the female. However, the two doors was a large gap and a PWD signage in between them.
Meanwhile, netizens quickly took note of its similarities to “Platform 9 3/4”. “To Hogwarts Yarn?”, quipped some netizens.
To those who don’t know, “9 3/4” is among the most popular references in the Harry Potter series. It refers to the platform that takes young wizards and witches to Hogwarts.
But, the only way you can get to this platform is by walking straight through the a solid wall located between platforms 9 and 10 at London’s King’s Cross station.
Columnist JC Punongbayan was the first to post the photo which quickly went viral on Twitter.
Because of this, the Department of Transportation felt the need to explain their side of the story. According to them, the middle signage meant that both comfort rooms are dedicated to persons with disabilities.
