Last month, Redmi confirmed that the company would be unleashing the Redmi K40 series in February. Recently, the company released an official confirmation that the Redmi K40 launch event would be held on February 25, 2021.

Redmi had promised to deliver a new experience and a new design through the Redmi K40 series. The launch poster, however, had no information on the technical specifications of the Redmi K40 models.

Rumors surrounding the Redmi K40 series had revealed that it would be coming with a top-center positioned punch-hole display with a support for a high refresh rate.

A recent report claimed that the Redmi K40 series may flaunt the “smallest punch-hole” ever seen on a smartphone.

The Redmi K40 retail box images that were shared by Redmi last month suggested that it may ship without a charger — just like what Xiaomi did when the company launched Mi 11 in China.

In addition, the Redmi K40 models were also expected to come with stereo speakers.

In a report on Gizmochina, it was revealed by Redmi last month that the Redmi K40 series would offer users the “most expensive flat display”, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, and a battery capacity that’s “bigger than a 4,000 mAh battery”.

As per the report, it was speculated that the Redmi K40 had a mode number of M2012K11AC and the Redmi K40 Pro had a model number of M2012K11C — these smartphones were recently certified by the 3C authority of China.

The 3C certification revealed that these smartphones were 5G-ready devices that may carry support for 33W fast charging. Moreover, the other specifications of the Redmi K40 models were currently under wraps.

At the said event, Redmi may also announce the RedmiBook Pro 15 featuring Intel 11th generation processors.
