Hontiveros Calls Out Vaccine Grant Of “Comppasionate Permit” For PSG
HONTIVEROS CALLS OUT PSG VACCINE GRANT – Earlier during the year, the Presidential Security Group (PSG) went viral after revealing they were inoculated with China’s Sinopharm Vaccine.
During that time, the Food and Drug Administration had yet to give a permit for the use of any vaccine. Along with this, it also condemned the act of using unverified vaccines for COVID-19.
However, a month later, the FDA gave the PSG a “compassionate special permit” for the use of the vaccines. Because of this, Senator Risa Hontiveros became adamantly suspicious.
According to an article from Inquirer she said:
“Kahit nag-issue pa ang FDA ng ‘compassionate special permit,’ kaduda-duda pa rin na may hiwalay na vaccination program ang PSG, labas sa inilatag ng NTF (National Task Force Against Covid-19) para sa publiko. Hindi ito dapat dinededma.”
Yesterday, the Malacañang announced that the FDA gave a compassionate license for the inoculation of PSG members with 10,000 doses of Sinopharm’s coronavirus vaccine. With such a license, members of the PSG and their families could now skip the government’s COVID-19 vaccine priority list.
Supposedly, uniformed personnel was fourth on the list with health workers being the top priority. As such, Hontiveros stated:
“Lagpas isang buwan na simula nang mabalitaan natin ang iligal na pagbabakuna ng mga PSG personnel, pero nakababad pa rin sa isipan ng marami ang mga tanong. There is no justifiable explanation for why they are keeping this a mystery“
Furthermore, Hontiveros noted that details of the secret vaccination continue to come up. However, Hontiveros believes that this gives more questions such as “why can’t they just wait for that? Are public funds used for this? How much? And most of all: Why are they keeping the transaction a secret?“.
Additionally, Hontiveros emphasized that the PSG shouldn’t have special treatment when it comes to vaccination. Instead, attention should be brought toward health care workers who sacrifice themselves to help others amid the pandemic, Hontiveros said.
