EDM DJs reacted to Daft Punk breakup
Following the announcement of Daft Punk, electronic dance music (EDM) DJs worldwide were weighing in on the duo’s unexpected breakup.
Daft Punk on Monday released an “Epilogue” video announcing that they had broken up after 28 years as a duo.
The duo’s publicist Kathryn Frazier confirmed the news to Agence France-Presse by email. However, Kathryn didn’t reveal why Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo broke up as of this writing.

With this, several DJs worldwide took to social media as they’re weighing in on Daft Punk’s unexpected breakup.
Porter Robinson, a DJ who was known for tracks “Shelter” and “Look At The Sky”, tweeted that he’s thinking about how every stage of his life would have gone so differently if it were not for the duo.

BONNIE X CLYDE recalled that Daft Punk’s “Around the World” was one of the songs that got them into dance music.

Manila Killa, a US-based Pinoy DJ and producer, recalled that Daft Punk was the biggest electronic music influence on him and all he ever wanted was to be at Alive 2007.
He also shared that he even paid tribute to the duo on his intro track to his 1993 EP.
