Daughter of Juan Ponce Enrile: “Many have also made you into memes”

Katrina, the daughter of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile took to social media wherein she reacted to memes about her father.

The long-serving politician celebrated his 97th birthday on Valentine’s Day, February 14, and in this regard, netizens made memes for him as a tribute.

From the Jurrasic period to World War 2 to the epic movie, Ten Commandments- as such memes about Juan Ponce Enrile went viral on various social media platforms.

Meanwhile, her daughter Katrina paid a tribute to him via a long birthday message, and she said they also laughed at the memes about her father.

“Many have also made you into memes (okay we can all laugh with them if that’s what makes them happy for after all you have always said ‘gusto ko happy ka’), and to this day many still don’t get you,” she noted.

Juan Ponce Enrile is said to be a political survivor. He became an architect of martial law, with President Ferdinand Marcos whom he served as defense minister before he resigned, and went to President Cory Aquino, whom he had not been with for a long time.

In subsequent administrations, his career was still alive, as a local government official and senator.
