Child Dies After Using Grounded Headphones In Devera Village, Iloilo

CHILD DIES USING GROUNDED HEADPHONES – A tragic incident occurred a day before Valentine’s after a teenager died because of headphones.

According to reports, the victim, a 13-year-old boy, went to a computer shop with his friend. However, when they started playing, the victim used a headphone wish was found to be grounded.

Meanwhile, Pat Igcasan, the Patrolwoman investigating the case said the cafe owner warned the boys not to use that particular headphone because it wasn’t safe. But, the boy still used the broken headphones anyway.

When his friend saw the victim shaking, he tried desperately to help. However, he couldn’t do so because of the strong voltage and current.

The Shop’s switch was immediately turned off to help the child. He was then rushed to the nearby Sara District Hospital. Sadly, he was declared dead on arrival.

Based on an article from Manila Bulletin, the child’s parents said they had no plans of filing charges against the shop owner. Still, the owner said he would provide assistance for funeral expenses.
