Active Coronavirus Cases In Quezon Drops To 171 In Under 3 Months

ACTIVE CORONAVIRUS CASES IN QUEZON – According to the records from the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), active COVID-19 cases in Quezon significantly dropped.

Previously, the number of daily active cases in the city was at 1,119. However, due to Quezon‘s Province’s response to the virus, this number already plummeted to 171 on Saturday, February 27.

In its 10:00 a.m. daily bulletin, the IPHO disclosed to the public that only 171 cases were active within the province. Likewise, the IPHO also reported how the number of new COVID-19 cases was seeing a major downtrend.

Furthermore, an article from Inquirer reported that from the Start of February until the 26th, only 332 cases have been reported. Meanwhile, last month’s records saw 696 COVID-19 cases.

Back in December, there were 845 daily cases, additionally, November had 1,612 cases, and October had the largest daily cases with 1,717.

Currently, the province is still under a modified general community quarantine (MGCQ), the lowest level quarantine in the country. Since the beginning of the outbreak in the province, health officials recorded a total of 7,246 COVID-19 cases.

Of that number, 6822 have recovered. Unfortunately, 253 people residing within the province succumbed to the deadly disease.
