LYKA released a statement in response to netizens’ concerns about the privacy features of its app.
LYKA officially released a statement in response to concerns of the netizens — specifically to the iOS users — about the privacy features of its app.
In a statement, LYKA CEO Ryan Baird said that the company would like to thank its users for making LYKA the number one Free App in Apple’s iOS App Store and the number one trending social media app in Google Play Store.
According to Ryan, their team of developers had been consistently improving the app in order for its users to have the best possible experience.
As the company addressed netizens’ concerns regarding the privacy features of the app, Ryan explained that the previous glitch affecting Apple’s iOS 14 had already been resolved and fixed on the last update four months ago.
Ryan also said that the privacy of its users was the company’s utmost priority as the data and information of its users were kept strictly confidential.

Ryan also said that LYKA would never put its users’ security at risk, adding that any glitches or bugs were continuously being monitored and addressed.
In addition, Ryan said that they had hired more developers from India and Europe with the sole purpose of upgrading the security of its platform and also to improve the speed and reliability of its app as well.
Moreover, Ryan said that they had expanded their team with developers from all over the world to impose a strategic plan in order to achieve their goal for LYKA – “to become the best app to connect businesses to their customers”.
By doing so, Ryan said that they aimed to provide the best social media experience for its users, merchants, and partners.
LYKA’s statement came after netizens started to worry about their iPhones every time they used the said app.
A Reddit user shared a video (see video below) showing a green light indicator (camera) appeared on an iPhone every time a user opened the LYKA app and an orange light indicator (location) appeared after closing it.
