In a statement, Andre said that he’s saddened to say it but he and Lou have “come to a mutual understanding to move on from being a couple”.

We realize we’re going on different journeys in our lives and no matter how hard we tried to make it work, it isn’t meant to be. The truth is we do care for each other and always will,” Andre said in a statement.

Lou and Andre, both 23, met as housemates in the “Otso” edition of ABS-CBN’s reality show “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) which ran from November 2018 to August 2019. LouDre formed the “Big 4” alongside comedy duo Yamyam Gucong and Fumiya Sankai.

According to him, Lou was such a big part of his life and he’s thankful to God to have her in his life, adding that Lou was his best friend and he’ll always support her.

Andre also addressed their loyal followers as he thanked them for being so supportive to them along the way, adding that they really did try out their best and it saddened them for it came to this realization.

Your love and support helped us keep going countless times. We owe it to you guys to be honest about this. We love you all dearly, and don’t want you to be sad. We [will] still be in each other’s lives forever as friends,” Andre added.

Meanwhile, Lou echoed Andre’s words as she addressed the separation in her own brief tweet saying, “We still care deeply about each other and that’s what matters.”
